Blind To Good Things

That kind of blindness is a desperate and terrible thing. Individuals with that affliction cannot see or find good. The worst of it is that they cannot see that the things of God are good, and they cannot find them. Many of them even call His good things evil and Satan*s evil things good. Do you know any pessimists like that? Or worse yet, are you one? For individuals like that, complaining is a way of life and it is the opposite of praising and thanking the Lord.

Jeremiah 17:5-6: Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. 6 For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.

Proverbs 17:20: He that hath a froward heart findeth no good: and he that hath a perverse tongue falleth into mischief.

James 1:17: Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Unbelievers are blind to every good gift and every perfect gift.

Isaiah 5:20: Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Titus 1:15: Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

1 Thessalonians 5:18: In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Unbelievers get it backwards. They are unthankful for God*s good will and they desire Satan*s evil will. Until and unless they repent they are under a woeful curse.
